The short version

Our website explains what we do and what it costs. The actual agreement for any work is your signed written quote. If anything on this site and your signed quote disagree, the signed quote wins.

Who we are

These terms cover your use of this website and our communications with you. "Chicago Home Water LLC," "we" and "us" mean our business. By using the site or sending us a request, you agree to these terms.

Prices and quotes

• Published prices are for a standard installation in our service area, as described on our How it works page.
• Your written quote is our offer to you. It lists what's included, the total price, and anything that could change it. Quotes are held for 30 days unless the quote says otherwise.
• If something on install day changes the work, we stop and get your written approval before doing anything that costs more.
• For jobs over $1,000, we give you a written contract and Illinois's "Home Repair: Know Your Consumer Rights" pamphlet before you sign, as Illinois law requires.
• We may decline a job, for example when a home's plumbing or drain setup can't support a safe install.

Payment

You pay 50% of the total price on your written quote when you book your install date, and the other 50% when the install passes our checklist and you have signed off. Both amounts are written on your quote.

If you cancel before we order your equipment, we refund your booking payment in full. If we can't go ahead with your install, we refund it in full.

Warranty

Equipment is covered by its manufacturers' warranties. Your written quote lists the warranty terms for your exact equipment before you sign.

Text messages

If you agree to receive texts, Chicago Home Water will text you about your request, quote, scheduling and service. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time, or HELP for help. You can also email info@chicagohomewater.com. Consent to texts is not a condition of purchase. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Water information on this site

The water facts on this site come from public sources, such as town water quality reports and state fact sheets, and we link to them. They describe a water system as a whole, and what comes out of your own faucet can differ. They're not a lab test, and they're not medical advice. Equipment claims are limited to what the product's certification lists.

Using this website

Please don't misuse the site, for example by submitting false requests or trying to break it. The text, design and graphics on this site belong to Chicago Home Water LLC.

Limits of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses from using this website. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Illinois consumer protection law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.
